The main function of protective nonwovens for medical application is to protect people from infection by bacteria and viruses. It has become people's concern to improve the quality of such materials. Spunbond nonwovens laminated with lacunate film (SNLF) is a new R&D area of this kind of material. The research carried out aiming at this trend and it is a continue work of protective textile research for Anti-SARS in technical tackling item led by Shanghai technology committee. How to solve the contradiction of protective materials between the eomfortability and protective performance has become the focus of the academe of the world.The key technique of laminated process and its influence factors and product property of SNLF are discussed. As the main part of the thesis, optimum technical parameters of laminated process are decided by orthogonal experiments and production are arranged subsequently. Mechanical, protective, comfortable and aging properties of SNLF are compared and analyzed.Cooperated with the manufactory and used laminated machine which is type SD-FF to carry out the experiment. During the production process, gluing mass, running rate of the equipment and heating temperature are three important factors. By testing two optimum processes are chosen to arrange the trial and manufacture the SNLF.For mechanical property of the product, tensile, abrasive and soft properties are discussed. And spunbond nonwovens decided the mechanical properties of SNLF.For protective property of the product, the relationship between theair permeability and structure and that between the water permeability and structure are mainly discussed. To a great extent, the pore structure of nonwovens, can be used as an effective factor for the researching of the air and water permeability of nonwovens.Moreover, the PE lacunate film which is a new, effective and cheap material and provide both satisfying protective performance and air permeability are discussed. The complex pore structure of SNLF is analyzed with the conclusion that it hasn't the most perfect comfortability for clinic stuff when they operated for a long time. So the protective apparel is suggested strengthening its key parts such as elbow and breast parts, with SNLF material, and other parts are made of normal nonwovens.Because the bonding agent will age under the circumstance and long time, peeling strength of the SNLF is discussed according to lying time and heating temperature.
