| The study of supramolecular chemistry is currently a significant topic in chemistry and biochemistry. It is a study of the interaction between host molecule, such as cyclodextrins, crown ethers and calixarenes, and guest molecule. Molecular recognition is one of the most important field of the study on supramolecular chemistry. Molecular recognition is the process that host molecule form binding with guest molecule selectively and product some special function. In this thesis, we have studied the molecular recognition ability of β-cyclodextrin and ion recognition ability of some crown ether derivatives which have two functional groups. The major contents are as follows.1. The general aspect of supramolecular chemistry was described briefly. The new progress and important achievements on molecular recognition of cyclodextrins and ion recognition of crown ethers were reviewed.2. Five solid inclusion compounds of β-cyclodextrin with diphenyl compounds, holding two phenyle groups in one molecular, have been prepared, and their structures were characterized by element analysis, thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis and NMR. And the standard molar Gibbs energies, enthalpies ,entropies for the inclusion process of β-cyclodextrin with two diphenyl compounds were determined by spectrophotometric titrations. The results obtained indicate that hydrogen-bonding contribute to the complex formation mainly.3. Five armed-benzo-15-crown-5 were synthesized, and their structures were characterized by element analysis, IR and NMR. The recognition ability of host compounds with alkali metals cations and inorganic ion pairs were determined by spectrophotometric. The results obtained indicate that the armed-benzo-15-crown-5 which have both crown ether ring and thiourea groups can form binding with cation and anion cooperatively.4. The solid inclusion compounds of β-cyclodextrin with 4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid have been prepared, and their structures were characterized by element analysis, thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis . The promoting effects of the solid inclusion compounds on wheat growth are tested preliminary. And the solid inclusion compounds, improved phytohormone, have some characteristic such as soluble and harmless for environment since the formation of inclusion compounds with β-cyclodextrin. |
