Based on consulting a great number of technical data, this article provides a deeper understanding in the fields of the products life cycles, the green products and the green manufacturing; analyzes the green surface engineering as the key technology for the sustainable development of the manufacturing industry from the different angles of the advanced manufacture technology frontier, the environmental adaptability of the surface paint-coat, and the green surface engineering design systems. The main research work is as follows:1. Analyzes the advanced manufacture technology frontier by the agent approach, emphasizing on the combination of the frontier technology and Chinese characteristics, the combination of the technology and the economy and the combination of the development and the demand; emphasizing on the trends of the crossing, the coordinating and the integrating in the development of the advanced manufacturing technology, using the comprehensive technical methods to analyze and to prove. Parts of the content have been already adopted by China national plans; analyzes and reaches a conclusion that the green surface engineering is the key technology of the advanced manufacture technology frontier.2. In order to avoiding the present shortcomings of much single items of technology and few of the system research in the domestic research work, this article analyzes the natural important effects on the equipments, the quality of the large-scale steel construction engineering surface paint-coat, and the protective life, by analyzing the environmental adaptability of two systems of the composite type protective coating system and the metal spraying protective system when which are under the conditions of the atmosphere and seawater. And points out that the reasonable selection of the surface protective systems is the important factor to be reckoned with for guarantee the products quality and increase the service life of the equipments and engineering, and also for the environmental protection.3. According to the on-the-spot investigation, approaches the characteristics of environmental corrosion in China west areas, and finds out that the acid rain destroys the metal protective layers at the extremely surprising rapidity, and the effects by the acid rain corroding the weathering resistant steel and the stainless steel could be almost the same as the environmental corrosion of sea atmosphere in China (Qingdao areas). This article suggests that it is necessary to adopt a prudent policy and the work of the economical comparison to design and choose the protective layers and materials when the products used in the acid rain areas.4. Based on the concepts of the products service life cycle and ISO14000, analyzes the influencing factors of the green surface engineering from the aspects of surface, interface, matrix, environment, environmental effects on the manufacturing process, the use of the material resource, the choice of the productive process and the advanced productive management pattern. And provides the design system of the green surface engineering.
