| The global shortage of water resource has become a threat to the life of human beings and has become a major factor that severely limits economic development and crop production. This shortage threatens the city of Xi'an in various aspects. Reuse of waste water pays strategic importance on solving the shortage problems and on realization of the sustainable development.This paper investigates a large number of project examples both home and abroad and concludes that reuse of wastewater is one of the good ways to solve the problem of water shortage. The paper also studies the feasibility and predicts water demand on wastewater reuse for industrial, domestic, and agricultural purposes. Finally, the paper discusses treatment processes of wastewater reuse in a safe and healthy way, and discusses the related policies that encourage public to accept the recycled water resources.
