| Tong Lu Shan Mine is located in Tonglushan Town in Daye County in Huangshi City of Hubei Province. It is one of six main copper bases in China. The mine takes highway as exploitation system. The main highway is composed of detritus and soil-aggregate. The terrene road is loose and dust is thick. During the course of transportation, dust pollution is very serious, which not only does harm to workers' heath and atmospheric environment, but also damages transportation equipments.In view of road dust pollution in Tong Lu Shan Mine, the thesis studied dust prevention technique in open-pit road. Firstly, We analyzed and researched the latest development about dust suppressants in the world and united the actual circumstance of our country and ascertained study direction. Secondly, according to analyzing flying dust mechanism, a new concept which integrates adhesion, moisture absorption and water preservation into a whole was brought forward. Finally, we chose orthogonal design experiment as research method. Through choice and optimization of dust suppressive factors, the practical formulation which has excellent dust prevention effect was obtained, andextensive experimental simulation and industrial test were carried out. The experiment results show that this kind of dust suppressant is an effective method for suppressing flying dust and the valid period of dust prevention exceeds four days. Besides, raw materials of the dust suppressant are extensive, and its preparation arts and crafts are simple and comprehensive cost is reasonable. What's more, every ingredient of the dust suppressant is non-toxic and non-corrosive in nature and is easy to decompose. Consequently, it can be generalized widely and will create enormous economic, environmental and social benefits.
