The melt graft-reaction between Polyethylene(PE) or Ethylene propylene terpolymer (EPDM) and Maleic anhydride (MAH) in a twin screw extruder and the morphologic structure and mechanical properties of the grafts- toughening Polyamide(PA) alloys were studied in this paper. The influences of PE or EPDM kinds, MAH and Initiator contents, as well as some additives on grafting yield and gel content of the grafts were investigated, and then the optimized formula of the reacting extursion were obtained. Based on this, the effects of grafting yield and content of the grafts on morphological structure and mechanical, properties of the toughened PA alloys were also investigated, and the optimized composites fo the alloys were obtained. Finally, the two types of toughened PA alloy products have been developed and produced, which were proved to possess high impact strength and good technical and economic performance.
