There are less public papers about CAE analysis on the large-scale injection mold in China. In this paper, taking the injection mold of the front-bumper of the old style SANGTANA car for example, the static analysis of the main loaded parts of the mold are studied by the ANSYS, the FEA software. The solid molds for analysis were build by Pro/E software, and then change the mold from .prt format to the .db format by ANSYS software. The molds were defined by the pre-processing part of the ANSYS, and were analyzed by the analysis part of the ANSYS. The results were deal by the post-processing part. The analysis is based on the results of the paper CAE Optimization On The Injection Mold For The Front-Bumper Of SANTANA Car, which was written by Shen Honglei. To the question of the ANSYSanalysis results, much improvement and optimization work is made. The main achievements are as follows:1) Properly erect and optimize the mold is better for the successfulness and the analysis precision of the FEA. It does also have a remarkable influence of the analysis time. Good mold can greatly reduce the analysis time;2) In the beginning of the finite element analysis, coarse mesh should be made firstly. The fine grid size cannot be taken until we find a good optimized mold. It can also greatly reduce the analysis time in this way;3) For the analyses of the complicated solid mold of three dimensions, if it cannot influence the precision of the analyses, some unimportant curve surfaces of the mold should be wiped off. In this way can also greatly reduce the analysis time;4) The places of constrain and hole and slot of the part are prone to have peak stress, especially the position where have small angles. On the condition of permission small angels should be reduced and adopt round angles;5 ) It cannot always reduce the stress on the condition of reducing the maximum displaced shape and vice versa. The reason is the stress and the displaced are influenced both by loads and constrains;6) Some small angles needn't be wiped off and improved if they are not located near the working fit place. The peak stress point can be banished by the wear and tear in the process of use. It also has no bad influence on the mechanical performance by this way;7 ) In order to show the analysis result intuitively, we also made large numbers of animation media files according to the per analysis work. Both the result figure and animation media files, their result are magnified for the sake of showing clearly, otherwise the displaced shaped trend result cannot be distinctly foundShen Honglei did the earlier stage of this paper.Many important softwares such as Mold Flow, Pro/E, Ansys, Mathematica, Move, and so on are used to the full in the paper.
