According to the hydrogeology of No.2 dump of Nan-fen Iron Mine, the stability numerical stimulation analysis of the slope was carried out from different grading angles and high, so as to find out the best joint point with the best stability and the maximum capacity of the dumpThe possibility of various destroying modes for the slope was evaluated. And simulated the earthquake effect on dump.As a result of the article, it shows that the dump slope stability, height and breakage mode are mainly affect by the flaccid interbed in dump, the foundation slope, foundation flaccid band, geologic feature of foundation and the land form. The mass distribution and lithology of dump, the rain and earthquake affect the stability too. At last the methods of increasing the dump slope stability are given.The right methods were given to prevent the dump disaster. Emphasized the dump granule control method and dump base aerial drainage method which used to prenvent the mud-rock flow.
