The Tb-Dy-Fe giant magnetostrictive material , a new type of magnet-mechanical energy conversion material with large magnetostriction and rapid response, is a perfect element for micro-displacement actuator. The control system, machinery and magnetic structure of giant magnetostrictive inchworm motor (GMM) have been designed based on the controlling theory, characteristic of giant magnetostrictive material and performance index of the subject.The characteristic of giant magnetostrictive material has been tested and analyzed, mainly including the static characters of material and dynamic behavior parameters of the subject. Static characters of material includes magnetostriction coefficient λ , and magnetic induction intensity B, and coupling coefficient K33 and so on. Dynamic behavior parameters includes dynamic behavior coefficient d33, and incremental magnetism coefficient μ , and impedance Z, and frequency f . Only the static characters will be used in this thesis , that s magnetostrictive material magnetostriction coefficient λ. and magnetic field intensity H.The framework design of micro-displacement work table includes the driver framework design ,and orientation system framework design ,and movement control of the work table . we introduce in detail the orientation principle of work table and every part framework design and movement course control and the integration framework.According to the theory of automatic control system, I have designed the hardware circuit of work table . The main components - central processing unit (CPU) used the AT89C51 made in America that have low power and low price. The hardware system includes power supply circuit, clock reset circuit, constant-current source interface circuit, constant-current H bridge interface circuit, man-machine interface circuit. At the same time design scheme, function diagram and schematic diagram are also offered.Control program is compiled by the MCS-51 assembly languange. The pulse time is adjusted continually between 1- 1000ms. The work table can move forward and backward 500 paces . Designed H bridge interface circuit bring down heat of the coils. At the same time design H bridge interface circuit can effectively control two-way movement and accurate orientation for work table.The performance index of micro-displacement work table is that the range of the work table is ± 1000 μ m, the pace is 2nm. At the same time the micro-displacement work table possesses these merits of low power, high control accuracy and fully automatic control, etc.This type of micro-displacement work table which have large range and high control accuracy. It will be used extensively in micro- electron field and accurate making field and biology field, etc.
