Both the comparatively extensive and deep theoretical analysis and the experiments of the measuring technology of laser diffraction and CCD technology are performed in this thesis, by which the precision and non-contacting method used to measure the form and position errors for the rotary parts are also investigated. On the basis of the theoretical results, it has been realized that the number of dark dots in the CCD signal is automatically discerned, with all of dark dots roughly positioned, while an accurate positioning of these dark dots is made with least square axis method. Mathematical models of form and position errors for the rotary parts are established, with the radius incremental approach, and the sample data of dispersedly sampled points with alternate angle is obtained on the equilong sections that are perpendicular to the rotary axis. Different mathematics models are employed to evaluate the above method by calculating the form and position errors of roundness, cylindricity, coaxality, axis straightness etc, which results in a comprehensive evaluation of the form and position errors for the rotary workpiece. The error analysis and experiments indicates that the laser diffraction is one of the methods with high precision, non-contacting measurement, ease of realizing automation and good practical significance.
