Firstly, all kinds of technology of ink-jet printing are introduced concisely, and the principle of piezo colour ink-jet printing is analyzed mainly. Colour ink-jet printing ink s influence on the printing performance and the ponderance of ink-jet ink in the technology of ink-jet printing are explained. The basic ink composition and. theirs effects are analyzed. The basic varied performances of eligible ink-jet ink are presented. A few of the performances of the purchased ink are tested.Then, a set of ink which are the best and fit for the piezo colour ink-jet are developed based on the research on the relation of the ink composition and the inks viscosity and surface tension. And the compatibility between the DIY ink and the purchased ink is tested.The DIY ink is filled into the cartridge which is used to printing text file and image. The diversified printing performances of the DIY ink are tested. And the influence of ink's viscosity and surface tension on the printing performance is tested. Lastly, the environmental condition s influence on the ink s printing performance is tested.
