As a kind of important material combined function with decoration use, coiled elastic fabric is widely concerned and used in clothing industry .But the level of process and department for this material at home is still low compared with the advanced technology.The key technology to use and sew this material is how to control the tension of coiled elastic fabric in the process , so after analyzing all kinds of factors that affect the tension and the shortcoming existing in the old ways, this paper brought forward the active (initiative) control method .How to test the real-time tension and how to adjust the actual tension to track the present tension are difficult.In this paper, pressure sensor with high-precision and ADuC824 which is an chip special for data-collection are used to detect the dynamic tension. According to the control characteristic of fabric tension process, this paper combined the traditional control method with the intelligence control method ,employed the fuzzy control theory, and designed the fuzzy self-adaptive PID controller. The controller made the illation and verdict according to the error and error variety velocity between the actual tension and the given tension to auto self-adaptive turning the parameters of the controller, so that the actual tension adjustment can accurately track the given tension .As the actor to adjust the tension, stepping motor servo control pattern is presented, and the rising-and-falling curve of speed and the mathematic model of the stepping motor have been introduced.Further more, after analyzing the mathematical model of the system carefully, we designed simulation and experiment. According to the results of the experiments, the feasibility of the method is proved. This control algorithm makes the control quality(ce!erity, veracity, stability )compatible.
