In recent years, electrochemistry and catalytic oxidation technology has been proved to be effective in removing pollutants from contaminated waters. In this research, the two kinds of technology are combined together: making use of the form of bipolar packed bed cell, the multiphase catalysis loaded metals oxide as the insulated material, the active carbon as the electrode. With the combination of electrochemistry and multiphase catalysis in the reactor, the degradation efficiency of the organic compound is increased.Reactor can run by two methods of sequence and batch. Treatment efficiency is optimized on the condition that polar materials in reactor filling are unchanged and multiphase catalysis materials are changed.(1) When batch circulation, Fe2O3-5A zeolite is compared with Fe2O3-ZSM-5. It shows that the efficiency to remove phenol is 49.44% and 71.63%, to remove COD is 28.90% and 40.30% on the condition that preliminary phenol concentration 100mg/L, voltage 25V, concentration of Na2SO4 1000 mg/L, pH = 6.8. At the same condition, Fe2O3-5A can remove 10% phenol more than 5A, Fe2O3-ZSM-5 25% more than Fe2O3-5A. The result proves that catalysis is useful. At the same condition, Fe2O3-ZSM-5 is 22.19% more efficient than Fe2O3-5A, ZSM-5 is 4.06% more efficient than 5A. The result proves that ZSM-5 outbalances 5A to treat phenol wastewater and is improved with loaded Fe2O3.Under batch circulation, the degradation of phenol accords to the first order kinetic equation.(2)Under sequence condition, quartz sands, active Al2O3, MnO2-Al2O3, Fe2O3-Al2O3 and NiO2-Al2O3 are studied. The result is Fe2O3-Al2O3> MnO2-Al2O3> NiO2-Al2O3> quartz sands > active Al2O3 preliminary phenol concentration 100mg/L, voltage 25V, concentration of Na2SO4 1000 mg/L, pH = 6.8, the optimal efficiency of Fe2O3-Al2O3 reactor to treat phenol and COD is 75.78% and 38.64 %.When sequence circulation, the phenol removal quantity is identical with the electric current efficiency and it is Fe2O3-Al2O3 > MnO2-Al2O3 > NiO2-Al2O3 > quartz sands > active Al2O3.(3) After 500h, at batch circulation, the stability order is Fe2O3-5A>Fe2O3-ZSM-5 and at sequence circulation, the stability order is NiO2-Al2O3>Fe2O3-Al2O3 > MnO2-Al2O3...
