4-trifluoromethylaniline and its derivatives are important intermediates for pharmaceutics and medicals .As a result of their excellent property and wide applications, the study on synthesis methods of them is very important for learning and application. In all the synthesis methods amination is very attractive.In this paper, 4-trifluoromethylaniline and its chloric derivates prepared by hydrazinolysis and hydrogenolysis is the body of study. industry easily obtainable p-chlorobenzotrifluoride and its chloric derivates such as 3,4-dichlorobenzotrifluoride and 3,4,5-trichlorotrifluoride were employed as start materials. 2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenylhydrazine ,2-chloro-4-trifluromethyl phenylhydrazine and 4-trifluoromethyl phenylhydrazine were prepared by hydrazinolysis with hydrazine hydrate .The yield were 96%, 67% and 24% respectively. The effects of temperature, material mixture ratio and reaction time on the hydrazinolysis reaction were also discussed. The product of hydrazinolysis were charactized with GC-FTIR. and GC-MS ,then reduced by hydrogen gas with Raney Ni as catalyst to give 2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylaniline, 2-chloro -4-trifluromethylaninline and 4- trifluoromethylaniline, the total yield of which were up to 81%, 57% and 21%under the optimum condition. 2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylaniline was also obtained by amination of start materials with DMF( N, N-dimethylformamide ),chlorination under illumination by means of strong light and treating with concentrated base. Under the optimum condition the total yield of 2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenylhydrazine was up to 64%. The demethylation of 4-trifluromethyl -N,N-dimethyl aniline was carried out under Pd/C, aqueous ammonia and hydrogen gas.
