Thin-walled components with characteristics of high intensity and light mass are used widely in aero industries. However, the machining vibration of the thin-walled components is the problem hard and urgent to solve in airplane industries. In this paper, the aluminum alloy thin-walled construct are selected as the object studied; the machining vibration of thin-walled components is systemically and thoroughly analyzed; the machining technology of aero thin-walled components is studied in order to control and reduce the machining vibration, and optimize the machining parameters. The main works in this paper are summarized as follows: 1. Based on the existed documents, the distribution of the cutting forces along the cutting edges of the cutter in machining thin-walled components is studied and the cutting force model of milling thin-walled components is built by experiments. 2. Based on experiment we can deduce the relationship with machining parameters and the milling force in radial direction, the relationship with machining parameters and swing of thin-walled components in milling process. 3. Machining vibration of thin-walled components under different machining parameters is simulated by experiments. We can find the relationship between the machining parameters and marching vibration in milling thin-walled components and the optimized machining parameters in milling thin-walled components. 4. Based on the analysis and experiment results of the machining deflection and the machining technology of thin-walled components, the machining technology of thin-walled components is studied systematically. Considering all the factors affecting the machining deflection of thin-walled components, the machining technology of thin-walled components is optimized.
