Trans-1,4-polyisoprene is a synthetic rubber with excellent dynamic performance. On the basis of dynamic performance, study of application of trans-1,4-polyisoprene in tire and air suspension products is made.NR/TPI blends with different TPI contents are researched. It is found that with increasing TPI contents, tensile performance decreased. Generally, a better comprehensive performance is obtained at about 20% of TPI contents. That is, the original excellent mechanical performance of NR blends are mainly conserved, while rolling resistance and compression heat build-up are improved.Study is made on Semi-Efficient Vulcanization (SEV) of NR/TPI(80/20), the results show that the best amount of sulfur is 1.2-1.4phr and that of accelerator NS is 1.4-1.6phr. Properly scorch time and vulcanization rate, excellent mechanical and dynamic performance are attained. The application of DTDM in vulcanization system of NR/TPI is researched. The results show that scorch time , mechanical and dynamic performance and aging resistance are better than that of sulfur and accelerator NS system. Contrast to NR formulation, an increasing in sulfur contents to some extent in NR/TPI formulation can improve physical mechanical property and dynamic performance.In NR/TPI system 48phr carbon black is optimum. On the basis of above results, precipitated silica and Si69 are introduced to NR/TPI blends. The results show that a suitable amount of silica and Si69 in blends can significantly improve abrasion resistance, rolling resistance, compression heat build-up and wet grip. But...
