The Crafts Researching On Fast-Growing Wood In Making Environmental Decorate Material

This paper took fast-growing poplar and Chinese fir as objects discussing the craft of making environmental decorative materials from the two poor quality fast-growing wood which is a new way to create high value-added products with poor quality timber to supersede natural woods, to promote traditional industry, explore and expand new markets. It also meets the policy about developing the national forestry industry.Current craft was analyzed in this paper. Through the discussion of nine main problems that occur in practice usually, we make lots of practice about trans-mutation of fast-growing poplar, bluing of fast-growing poplar, over-consuming on finger joint, the difficulty about wood putty's filling and sanding, the annual rings swelling about Chinese fir, resin filtering in the knot of Chinese fir, color permeating from bottom coat, coat vesicles, lower adhesive strength on wood putty, ect. An anti-bluing medicine, which was made up 0.50% chlorothalonil, 0.30% boracic acid, 0.30% 94disinfector. All the problems were proved to be effective. Using technology like increasing wind speed in the dry kiln, heightening the temperature of the drying medium, selecting the proper direction of wind, pre-heating with hot water vapor, improving the traditional kiln, etc. the drying cycle of fast-growing poplar was shorted for three days with drying quality guarantee. Meanwhile, aiming at the following difficulties, which including difficult to spread putty happened in the section abnormity of decorative materials, coat vesicles, distortion, soaking coat. We put forward some new technique about controlling technique in filling technique about line-special section and coat vesicles, fast-drying technique on water-wood putty, save wood material, dissolution on annual rings swelling about Chinese fir, permeating inclusion of Chinese fir, improvement of adhesive strength and so on. During the research, a filling machine and a hot-circulation box we invented and improved, which is a way to make the crafts and technique more reasonable and practical as well as having modern industrialization realized.
