| Water jet is a kind of new technology and new craft emerging rapidly, regarding water jet as the core at the same time, collecting the pump , valve , seal , hydraulic pressure , automation controlled for integrative comprehensive discipline . Because its outstanding advantage of water jet, used widely in various fields.This text based on its application in cleaning, has analysed the characteristics and operation principle and composition of water jet, analysed the composition and characteristics of the dirt, at the same time, used such theories as the hydromechanical basic equation ,etc., studied the mechanism of water jet cleaning more deeply. Have drawn some technical parameters of cleaning the dirt of using high-pressure water jet, have offered the theoretical foundation for studying of characteristic , distance of the target , spray nozzle structure of the high-pressure water jet which used in cleaning the dirt. It proves through experiment that it is reasonable to adopt 13 degree for the whole structure spray nozzle of type cone with cylinder sections, to make an appointment for about 3 times of the diameter of the spray nozzle in length of cylinder, it can obtain higher flow coefficient and higher efficiency . And under the guidance of theoretical foundation , with the aid of the modern design methods (AutoCAD ,etc. ). have designed the washing machine of rolling mill. Rolling mill washing mill has already put into the practical application of the workshop, it proves by practice that it is very remarkable to wash the dirt , proved at the same time high-pressure water jet is feasible used for washing under the existing technological conditions . This rolling mill washing machine is in extensive application range, suitable for rolling mill of narrow belted steel, line material rolling mill, excellent material rolling mill, steel tube rolling mill, HC rolling mill ,etc. Its application has a bright future, it own extensive economic and social benefit.
