EW (Emulsion, Oil in Water) of Agrochemical's formulation, which is also called as CE (concentrated emulsion), is a new pesticide formulation by using water as dispersing medium, and by the action of dispersant, or emulsifier or other additive agent to make the technical agrochemicals (solid or oil-liquid) suspended or dispersed in water. EW uses water as substrate. It reduces the pollution to environment, and decreases the production cost, is at an important field position in the R&D (Research and Development) of new pesticide formulations. As example with 2.5% Lambda-cyhalothrin EW, the compositions of the formula were experimentally determined as follows: Lambda-cyhalothrin Technical Powder 2.5%; Solvent 180#15%; RED102#8%; Propylene glycol: 5%; Deionized water to 100%. To process the EW product the instrument and method used in the production were selected, choosing High Shear Dispersing Machine as the processing instrument and using D-phase emulsion method to process. By using this method, there were more stable and evener particles in the EW product. This method has not been reported in the literatures on EW research. The effectiveness experimentation of 2.5% Lambda-cyhalothrin EW indicated the performance of Protecting and Healing Green Worm (Pieris rapae L.) was over above 90%, the product has excellent quick action and persistence ability. Compared with 2.5% Lambda-cyhalothrin EC, under the same dosage of active ingredient, the difference of effectiveness for each day was is not prominence significant. Physical and chemical properties of pyrethroids were systematically studied. EW's formulations of 9 pyrethroids were tested. The common and different properties of the compositions of EW of same pesticide were analyzed. The general formulation rules of EW for the same category of pesticides were put forwarded. Corresponding EW formulation for pyrethroids were created. The correspondent formulating rules were also summarized. This article does the research of Quality-Control of EW was set up and the Analysis Methods for the active ingredient's content and stability etc were established. Through many examinations to exam the stability of the formula and processing method of EW the Quality Standard for EW was found. To realize industrial production of the product, the author organized the magnifying-experiments and the industrial production, independently designed the EW workshop with the capacity as 1000t/year, did research for EW producing process, established the practical producing procedures of EW, produced qualified product.
