With the improvement of standard of living, people demand better and better dwelling condition, but many living places are polluted by formaldehyde released from the fitment materials indoor. Formaldehyde is one of the volatile carcinogenic organic pollutants indoor, irritant and susceptivity, which do the serious harm to many apparatus .It has been listed the material causing cancer and abnormality by World Health Organization. Molecular sieve is an inorganic microporous material, having the ability of selective adsorption δcatalyzity. It absorbs the material according to molecule size,polarity,unsaturation. In generaly, it can absorb more solute in low concentration and high temperature. The crystal molecular sieve has alveolate structure, and the volume of hole is over 50% than the total volume. Moreover, the aperture size is uniformity and stable. The ability of selective adsorption depend on the pore size, namely, only the little molecule can be absorbed. The article studied the capability of S-1 type molecular sieve absorbing formaldehyde. The results of close box shew that S-1 type molecular sieve could absorb effectivly the different concentrations'formaldehyde at the short time.
