The statistic and analysis about the fatal accidents of the mines in our country reveal that the fatal accidents caused by gas are the most serious both in occurrence frequency and in personnel casualty. However, at present the ventilation in preventing gas exists some shortages: the disadvantageous stability of ventilation system, unreasonable ventilation network, etc. Simultaneously, the gas control in roof caving and fully mechanized mining is the unsubstantial aspect of prevention measures for gas disasters in all over the world.Coal production transferring into deep position gradually, the up-dip fully mechanized method with cover caving in deep punky coal seam of Nantun mine has the following new characteristics in ventilation and safety: the ventilation form in No.9301 workface transforming into downward current of intake gate and upward current of outtake way, the move regulation and concentration status of gas in goaves being about to change and gas hasing the tendency of moving upwards due to oblique mining, the seepage coefficient being increscent and air-leakage scope varying in goaves caused by up-dip exploiting, etc.This dissertation carries out some sufficient researches for the new problems in ventilation and gas prevention for up-dip fully mechanized method with cover caving according to some defects of gas prevention technology and the actual situation of up-dip fully mechanized method with cover caving for deep punky coal seam in Nantun mine. Clarifying the movement regulations of air-leakage in goaves, the strata control distribution status of gates and gob in No.9301 workface, the mathematic model and regulation of gas fiowage and pervasion in goaves and workfaces and the gas effusing regulations in road along next goaf with overhead driving, this dissertation puts forward the reasonable wind quantity and optimization projects of ventilation system in No.9 exploitation section , the control measures of upper coign in workfaces when up-dip fully mechanized method with cover caving, the gas management measures of road along next goaf with overhead driving, etc on the basis of these aforementioned regulations. All the measures mentioned above prevent the occurrence of ventilation and gas accidents effectively and guarantee the safe production of workface.
