Based on the analysis of the development and present situation of the numerical simulation of the medium plate rolling process both home and abroad, a FEM model of the slab cooling process and a FEM model of the rolling process are created. On the premise of being tested the reliability, the models are used for simulating the rolling process, and for searching some regularities of the rolling process, as a result, some problems can't be solved by industry experiments can be solved in this way conveniently, some technical and theoretical supports for the optimization of technology can be provided.The main contents of the subject as following:Taking use of the model of the slab cooling process, the slab temperature field is simulated, and the inner temperature of the slab is obtained, which is the precondition of the rolling process simulation and not easy to be observed by instruments.The reason of the temperature rise on the rolled piece surface is studied. Taking use of the model of the rolling process, the change of the rolled piece temperature field is simulated, and the rolled piece temperature rise caused by plastic work and frictional work is studied ulteriorly.The mechanics of the rolled piece warp is studied, and some influencing factors of the warp are explored. Based on the simulation, the rolled piece warp calculating formula is gained.The rolled piece warp caused by temperature variance can be erased by the method of adjusting the transmission ratio of the upper and bottom rolls, and a calculating formula of the transmission ratio is obtained.The influencing factors of the draught pressure are studied. Based on the simulated data and the measured data, the calculating formula of the draught pressure is deduced.
