Sucker rod oil pumping is primary method in all these artificial pumping methods precedently. In the facility of Sucker rod pumping, beam-pumping unit is applied widely. However, duty radio of the induction motor in it is low. At the same time, there still exist many problems, such as long driving chain, poor flexibility, tremendous cubic and weight in long stroke, and low efficiency. Scheme of electromagnetic lifting system is presented in this paper for these problems. Firstly, this paper introduces the principle of the linear motor and structure of the electromagnetic lifting system, and introduces the research situation of the domestic and international electromagnetic field of linear motor and research task and direction of the paper, then base on the electromagnetic design of cylindrical linear motor, the influence of cylindrical linear motor construction and parameters on its properties is discussed. Giving emphasis to goodness factor design, one can conclude that the value of goodness factor must be chosen carefully to get different performance. introduces the rudimentary knowledge of Fem .On this basis, calculates the inside electromagnetic field of linear motor with Fem, and concludes that it is suitable for other axisymmetric field also. After that, introduces a common software of Fem analysis—ANSYS, and calculate the electromagnetic field of linear motor with ANSYS. Finally, according to the knowledge of the motor, derives out the mathematics model of the linear motor. On this basis, designs the electromagnetic lifting system with PLC. Compared with beam pumping unit, the efficiency of the electromagnetic lifting system is analyzed, as well as that of beam pumping unit, which draw a conclusion that the efficiency of the new system is high.
