Charter 1: The chemical structure and characteristics of supramolecular chemistry, porphyrin, and cyclodextrins have been introduced in detail. The applications of porphyrins and metallporphyrins are reviewed in many fields, including medicine, solar energy converter, photosynthesis, particular material, analytical chemistry, and so on.Chapter 2: The history and the recent development of binary supramolecular system involved porphyrins, cyclodextrins, and Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) are reviewed. Besides, the progresses of the ternary supramolecular systems are concluded. The contents and significance of the paper are explained.Chapter 3: In pH=3.22 NaAc—HAc buffers, the interactions of binary supramolecular system of meso-Tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin(TPPS4) with Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) and with heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)-β-CD(TM-β-CD) were srudied. And the ternary supramolecular system of TPPS4--TM-P-CD with BSA has been studied by three different methods, including spectrophotometer, fluorescence spectrum, and polarography. The binding ratios and the binding constants of them have also been obtained. The experimental data demonstrated that the TPPS4 can form a T:l binary supramolecular system of TPPS4—BSA, a 1:2 binary supramolecular system of TPPS4--TM-β-CD, and 2:1:1 ternary supramolecular system of TM-β-CD-TPPS4--BSA. The binding constants of the supramolecular systems are 6.10×104 l mol-1, 3.36×1011 l2 mol-2 (average of three values which were obtained by three different methods) and 5.67×103 l mol-1 , respectively. Furthermore, in this paper, three different methods have been employed to manifest the results. By doing so, theconclusion is more accurate and reliable. Besides, in UV-Vis spectroscopy, by choosing different reference solution, the absorption peaks of original substance and the new supramolecular system have been differentiated successfully, which is effective to prove the formation of binary and ternary supramolecular system.Chapter 4: In pH 9.05 NHtCl-NHs'HzO buffers, the interaction of TPPS4 with Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) has been determined by three methods, including LSV, UV-Vis spectrum and fluorescence spectrum. It is proved that BSA and TPPS4 can interact with each other and form TPPS4-BSA supramolecuar system. Moreover, the interaction between TPPS4 and BSA has been investigated by cyclodextrins(CDs). The interaction of TPPS4 with BSA is facilitated both by sulforbutylether-p-CD (SBE-p-CD) and by hydroxylpropyl-|3-CD(HP-|3-CD). At last, the binding mechanism is also preliminarily discussed.Chapter 5: In this paper, the supramolecular systems of water-soluble porphyrin(TPPS4) with HP-y-CD, HP-a-CD have been studied by polarography. The results show that TPPS4 can interact with HP-y-CD, HP-a-CD and form 1:2 , 1:1 inclusion supramolecuar system. The stoichiometries of supramolecular systems of TPPS4 with HP-y-CD, HP-a-CD have been determined by equimolar series method and by linear method. And, the binding constants determined by linear method are 4.58x109 l2-mol'2and 8.78* 1031-mol'1, respectively.Chapter 6 : In this paper, the meso-terakis(4-sulfonatophenyl) porphyrin(TPPS4) has been studied by polarography. As a result, in the buffer solution of NaH2PO4-Na2HPO4 (pH=7.18), an extremely sensitive second derivative reduction peak of TPPS4 at -0.67v(vs.SCE) has been obtainedThe peak height is linearly proportional to the TPPS4 concentration in the range of 7 9x10^ mol I"1 (correlation coefficient R2=0.9983, 0.9999), the...
