The Development Of Autocontrol System Of The Testing Continuous Slab Caster In BAOSTEEL

This dissertation is based on the project of construction of the testing continuous slab caster in BAOSTEEL. It presents the most popular technology of casting in detail and explains the facilities and flow of the whole continuous slab caster. In the design of autocontrol system, we divide the system into two parts: L1 basic automation level and L2 process control level.The author researched the design of L1 basic automation level earnestly and adopted the popular PCS7 control system, which met the request of industrial flow. In the course of casting, the modulation of width at crystal machine, the control of rollers and hatch at fan-shaped segment are difficult problems in the technology of continuous casting. They are discussed in the dissertation. A kind of control technique is raised particularly. In this technique, SIEMENS S7-400 PLC is a master station and communicating with slave station ET200 by PROFIBUS. WINCC menu takes charge of the surveillance of the operation of facilities in spot. In addition, transducer and coder are also adopted. The technique is credible, advanced and well-rounded in factory automation today.L2 process control level takes charge of making criterion and plan of production, collecting process data, enacting some parameters and calculating some mathematic models. The design considered the system as advanced, credible, exoteric and distensible, adopted the technology of database and graphical interfaces. So the system can be extended expediently and adapt the development in the future. The technology and facilities represent the advanced level of computer and management.
