The Study And Design Of The Inclined Wire Former Of Paper Machine

The special paper is a kind of paper, which has special functions, purposes and high additional value. The inclined wire machine has some characteristics of good dewatering ability, formation, porosity, low consistency on wet and long fibre papermaking etc, so it has obvious advantage over other paper machines at the aspect of producing some special paper. The inclined wire machine plays a very important role in the overseas special papermaking. However, in our country, the usage of inclined wire machine is still in the early stage. Because of the special advantages of the inclined wire machine, it will certainly become one of the trends to produce special paper in China. For example, our company has already settled this as the main development topic.The inclined wire former is the forming device and key part of inclined wire machine and is also the different part from other paper machines. Study on the inclined wire former is very important in the research on the inclined wire machine.Based on paper making principles, mechanics, fluid mechanics and experience in paper making machine design; the author did some researches in the following aspects:After the performances and applications of various formers were studied, the author suggested that the inclined wire machine was suitable to making low consistency, easy dewatering long fibre special paper, which had a good ability of formation and porosity. Secondly, due to the orientation above, research on inclined wire former should solve the special requirements for low consistency, long fibre pulp's formation on the basis of the commonness of paper machine's former, which required the equipments' structure to take full use of the advantages of inclined wire. According to this conception, the author made a mechanism research on the inclined wire. Thirdly, combined with the theory research above, the author made a quantitative research and design for all the parts of inclined wire and tested the inclined wire former by the using of our company's test paper machine, which proved the author's design conception and design quantitative standards were correct. The researches results above will provide firm foundation for further research and improvement of the inclined wire machine.
