Selenium (Se) and selenide, known as semiconductor materials, have many useful physical characteristics. Se also is one of essential elements in life. Se and selenide with nanostructure, are attracting more and more attention due to their significant importance in materials science and biomedicine. Thus much effort has been devoted to the fabrication of Se and selenide nanostructures. In this dissertation, the surfactants were used as the soft templates in the synthesis of Se and selenide nanoparticles. The products with varied morphologies were obtained by modulating synthetic conditions. Se and CdSe nanoparticles obtained were characterized by TEM, SEM and XRD.1.The aqueous phase synthesis of nanoselenium Through the reaction of H2SeO3 with Vc or N2H4, the Se nanoparticles with spherical and nano-rod morphologies were obtained by using polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) or polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) or chitosan (CTS) as the soft template in aqueous phase.2. The synthesis of nanoselenium by the low temperature solid state reaction Through the reaction of SeO2 with NH2OE,the Se nanoparticles with spherical and nano-rod morphologies were obtained by using Hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium(CTAB), Dodecyliben-zenesulptionic acid (6)-Sodium salt(SDBS) or polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP )as the soft template in reaction system.3. The synthesis of nanoselenium in the liquid-liquid interface Through the reaction of SeO2 with Vc or N2H4, the splierical and nano-rod morphologies selenium were obtained by using CTAB, SDBS or PVP as the soft template.4. The synthesis of nano-CdSe by low temperature solid state reaction Through the reaction of CdSO4 with NaSSeO3, the CdSe nanoparticles with spherical and flake morphologies were obta ned by using CTAB, SDBS or PVP as the soft template in reaction system.
