Preparation And Application Of Selenium Nano-particles

Selenium is a trace element that essential to the human body and has important physiological functions and a wide range of pharmacological effects, appropriate supplementary selenium can enhance immune capacity, anti-aging. But Nano-Se compared with other forms of selenium preparation, it has high security and high biological activity characteristic. Therefore, the Study on Nano-Se of the unique in the material and the specificity in the life has great significance.In this paper, sodium dodecyl sulfate and polyvinyl alcohol were as the templates in synthesizing selenium nanoparticles which were produced with the reduction of selenious acid by ascorbic acid. The effect factors of synthetic reaction were studied.Our main work:1. Nanoselenium was synthesized using sodium dodecyl sulfate as the template which was produced with the reduction of selenious acid by ascorbic acid. From the TEM can be seen, this reacting system forms a nanometer selenium is the spherical particle, and evenly dispersed, with an average diameter of about 35 nm and is able to exist stably, suitable for use in cosmetics.2. Nanoselenium was synthesized using mixed surfactant as the template which was produced with the reduction of selenious acid by ascorbic acid. From the TEM can be seen, this reacting system forms a nanometer selenium is the spherical particle, and evenly dispersed, with an average diameter of about 30 nm and is able to exist stably, suitable for use in cosmetics.Due to the special surfactant structure, the selenium particles can be adsorbed and coated, and under the role of the template grows for certain appearance. If does not increase the template, the production selenium gathers very quickly, explained that the template played a role in slowing down the particles to gather sinks and preventing the particles reunion. In this paper, the surfactants that have been selected are good cosmetic materials, and the preparation of nano-selenium in accordance with the cosmetics industry requirements. Their union may play a role of anti-aging and eliminating the free radicals.
