And the pipes made of UHMWPE have many outstanding properties so that they have important application value and great market foreground. But the applications of UHMWPE pipe are influenced by its shortages, such as its representative insulation. In this paper, the antistatic modification of UHMWPE is researched by adding carbon black (CB) and expanded-graphite (EG). And the electrical conductivity, mechanical properties, wearing quality and fluidity of conductive fillings filled the composites are investigated. Besides, the effect of the screw configuration and combination on pipe extrusion is investigated. Modification, design and fabrication have been carried out on the extrusion equipment. And the effect of the structure of die and the screw element configuration to extrude pipe on the blend of UHMWPE are investigated. The result shows that blend by co-rotating twin-screw extrusion is more effective, and eminent processing and equipment conditions to gain better electrical conductivity and other properties pipes are achieved in this status. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | UHMWPE, antistatic, carbon black(CB), die, pipe, expanded-graphite (EG), screw configuration, extrusion | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
