Sewing Peformance And Shape Character Of The Fabric

Fabric properties play a very important role in every aspect of the garment design and production. In order to increase the competitive ability of the garment manufactures, it become more and more important to improve the quick response ability of the company to increased sorts of fabrics. The objective measurement of fabric properties and the process control according to the fabric properties have become a trend of the clothing industries. The fabric properties in garment production process and the evaluation methods of the characters of fabric shape are discussed in this paper. 11 different kinds of typical fabric samples were divided into two groups to measure the relative properties of the fabric. Conclusions based on the qualitative analyses and discussions of the results of the measurements were also given in this thesis.
