Innovative Design And Application Of Luminescent Fabric

With the rapid development and progress of society,people have various requirements for textiles due to rising aesthetic ability,taste and consumption level.At the same time,with the development of science and technology and the emergence of smart materials,luminous fabric,as an important part of smart textiles,has attracted wide attention in different industries.The existing luminous fabric mainly includes luminous optical fiber fabric and glow-in-the-dark fabric.Electroluminescent materials are used for the luminous optical fiber fabric,which is mainly used in medical field,safety warning,decoration,clothing and other fields.Electroluminescent materials need power supply to emit light and require certain special devices to ensure their luminescent effect.In addition,optical fiber is fragile in the weaving process,which restricts the development of the luminous optical fiber fabric.Glow-in-the-dark fabric use night luminous materials to manufacture night luminous yarns,coatings,dyes and so on.And then printing,dyeing or weaving into glow-in-the-dark fabric.The coating glow-in-the-dark fabric is in poor quality,but there are only few examples for waving the night luminous yarns into night luminous fabric due to high costs and limited manufacture techniques.Considering the gradual increase in the requirements of the textile fabrics,changing tastes and fashion needs,the author proposed to use luminous materials to weave new luminous fabrics and apply them to pet clothing.This essay firstly analyzes the characteristics and applications of special luminous materials and fibers.Secondly,the author elaborates on the experimental process,materials used in the whole waving process,and data collection.Night-light yarn made from photoluminescent materials,ordinary cotton and polyester yarn were selected as fabric raw materials to carry out innovative design experiments combined with shuttle weaving and knitting technology.Knitting technology was selected to conduct more mature fabric design.Finally,as per the experimental results,the author refers to the characteristics of pet clothing to design pet clothing by color collocation and styling.The author uses the luminous fabric chosen from the experimental results to design pet clothing,which will help people to locate pets in the dark environment to improve the safety of pet owners and pets.The new luminous fabric combined technology,art with fashion,which makes the pet clothing more functional and broadens the application field of luminous fabrics.
