The city of Chongqing, lies in the mountainous country with special geography and climate, many high and dense buildings, and the narrow streets. All these are extremely disadvantageous to the dilution of transportation waste gas. In Chongqing the automobile possession quantity is increasing quickly, and as a result, a great deal of transportation exhaust waste cause the aggravation of the atmosphere pollution in the city, and of the air environment quality in the districts facing the street continuously.The automobile waste is exhausted near the height of the human breath, so the transportation exhaust will directly harm the passersby and the residents inside the both-sides buildings on the streets. And while the transportation exhaust in the city air pollution has a more and more proportion, it is a more and more pressure to the environment, and there would be a worse and worse impact on the resident health. The buildings facing the street is important of residence building, amusement, commerce and office in the city, occupies the important position in the society and economy of the city. A great deal of urban residents is usually living and work in the buildings over a long period of time. As a result, the indoor and outdoor air environment has the important impact on the whole community health. However, the buildings facing the street is the most directly under the influence of the transportation exhausts, so how to improve the indoor air environment of the buildings facing the street and decrease the transportation pollution goes to the close importance to the resident health. For controlling the indoor air pollution of the buildings facing the street, it is very necessary to research and assess their indoor air environment. However, the research about outdoor sources polluting indoor environment is short of, and the articles about the construct environment facing the streets in the city of Chongqing is also so. The buildings facing the street are one of the important construct forms in Chongqing, and the transportation exhaust is one of their main air pollution sources. So it is very important to reinforce the research about them. Under the pecuniary aid of to the Chongqing important project," the key technique and demonstration of small town of city construction", I have made the certain construct facing the street of the NOx pollution research in the city of Chongqing in summer. The research is separated into the research of the transportation pollution source and the NOx monitor at the building facing the street in Chongqing.For the sake of the research to the transportation pollution source, the manual statistics method is adopted to analyze the transportation flux change and the types configuration distributing along with the time in the Shayang Street, the Shapingba District of the city of Chongqing. That study shows that the average transportation flux of the road is rather great, and is in accordance with the residents' timetable. And the main mobile-types in the road are a car, a taxi and a motorcycle etc, who are transported people. And the road is belonged to the main civil way of the city. According to the regulation of the transportation flux change along with the time in the road, the top period (8:00~11:30,3:00~7:00) of the transportation flux is selected to monitor the NOx concentration dilution. The experiment place of the research topic is chosen the building facing the Shayang Street in the Shapingba District, Dormitory NO.3, belonged to the B Area of Chongqing University. And the chemistry monitor method is selected to monitor the NOx concentration in the indoor and outdoor building facing the street in the top period of the transportation flux, and to research the pollutants concentration diluting in different floors, and to find out the impacted degree by the transportation exhaust on the environment quality of the building facing the street. And then the indoor and outdoor air environment quality of the building facing the street can be assessed and some basic data can be provided to the people who deal with the indoor and outdoor air pollution of the building facing the street and draw the construction standard about the building facing the street.The study result shows that the indoor and outdoor NOx concentration dilution of the building facing the street is similar with the transportation flux change along with the time. And there is the trend in the different position and at the same clock, the outdoor NOx concentration is higher than the indoor, and the low floor is higher than the high. There are complex factors on the pollutant dilution about the buildings facing the streets. So the influenced degree in different position exists the tremendous difference, and the factors need be further studied and analyzed.
