The research is made in the text about several processing technologies for improving the processing precision of valve seat ring and valve stem guide hole of cylinder head, so that the process technology can improve towards to high precision,high efficiency,low cost continuously. By way of analyzing , we can reach a conclusion that the most effective and reliable technology method of processing valve seat ring and valve stem guide hole of cylinder head is gun-boring-finish turning technology. That is to say, using processing technology of gun-reaming or gun-boring, and using special reaming knife or boring knife to process valve seat ring and valve stem guide hole of cylinder head. Gun-boring-finish turning engineering is a mature processing technology, including the advanced knife tool and processing ideas, eliminating the unfavourable factors of several ordinary process technologies at home and abroad now,reaching completely the design requirement of the cylinder head product, assuring the processing quality of valve seat ring and valve stem guide hole of cylinder head, at the same time because the cost of knife tool of the Gun-boring-finish turning engineering is cheap ,this reduces the production cost and it is fit for mass serial production. It is necessary to spread and apply in the engine manufacturing industry, this can improve the total processing level of the engine manufacturing industry and can make gun-boring-finish turning engineering achieve considerable economic benefit and society benefit. For argumentation the necessity,reliability and feasibility of gun-boring-finish turning engineering fully, so the main research work of this text is: 1,Discussing the necessity of improving the processing precision of valve seat ring and valve stem guide hole of cylinder head. 2,Analyzing the many factors of affecting the processing precision of valve seat ring and valve stem guide hole of cylinder head. 3,Discussing several ordinary processing technologies of valve seat ring and valve stem guide hole of cylinder head now. 4,Connecting with the production practice to analyse gun-boring-finish turning technology.
