The Research On Cylinder Head Valve Seat And Valve Guide Machining Process And Practice

As the action components of engine valve timing mechanism, the valve seats andguides are the important parts for ensuring engine power performance, economicperformance, reliability and durability. So the machining precision of the seat andguide dimension is the key factors, which influence the engine performance. However,due to the hard seat and guide material and high machining precision requirement, thefactors always become the difficult key point for processing setting up and volumeproduction of cylinder head. In order to produce high-performance engine to meetcustomer’s requirements, we analysis the main problem during the machiningprocessing of seat and guide, and find out the most effective machining processingsystem to meet the cylinder head machining.The article’s analysis is based on the practical production of cylinder headmachining line, and it analyze the head line seats machine, machining process, tools,location fixture, machining program, the seats material, etc. And take the way fromstudy the seats and guides machining precision which would influence the engineperformance, then study the main factor that effect the seats machining precision.Base on comparing and studying several machining processing types of domestic andoverseas, therefore analyzing out that use the precision single edge composite tools tomachining is the most economic machining processing at the premise of ensuringseats and guides machining precision. And we analyzed and solved the issues of thismachining processing in practical production at the same time.1. The article analyzes the working foundation of engine valve timingmechanism, combining the characteristics of SGMW_B12engine seat and guidemachining processing to analyze the main cause of machining problems.2. By comparing the most commonly used types of seat and guide machiningprocessing technology, systematic analyzes the factors of machining processing,study the cylinder head seats and guides machining technology for batch production.3. The article has described the impact factors of machining precision and theseats machining. Precision requirement of currently high-performance engine, andanalyzed the relationship of machining dimension between the seats base hole and theseats, and analyzed the process to ensure the machining precision during the practicalproducing.
