Discharge gap control technology is important for wire electrical diacharge machining with solw-traveling speed, because this technology have a great effect on precision and efficiency of the machining. And the key of this technology is how to improve it's distinguish capability and real time competence. So, in this paper will introdunce a discharge gap control system for wire electrical discharge machining with slow- traveling speed, and particularly analyse dardware design and software design of this control system.Firtly, in this paper introduce the development status of discharge gap control technology for wire electrical discharge machining, analyse the direction of the technology, and advanced the design scheme of discharge gap control system。The control sysetm include hardware and software. In hardware section, this paper particularly introduce all components system's hardware, mainly include sample/hold circuit, A/D converter circuit and Single Chip Micyoco interface circuit. In this control sysetm, the software section mainly is data disposal programme writed with Single Chip Micyoco compile language.At the same time, the driver programme of control system is exploited according to the model and structure of the Windows 2000 Device Driver.
