This paper selected the natural organic macromolecule material with abundant source and cheap price - the cactus, made them into powder form flocculant, and studied its flocculating performance based on the analyze and summarizing the preparation of the existing natural organic macromolecule flocculants and flocculating performance.This paper designed a series of performance experiment schemes, setting the suspending liquid of kaolin as the target. Flocculate experiment indicate cactus flocculants hang to kaolin turbid liquid department is it flocculate performance well to have, turbid degree can reach about 5NTU in final surfacing. And dealing with the clay sewage system with it indicates that the cactus flocculants has good anti-interference ability. We have studied the best treatment result under the influence of different influence factors. Having done corresponding comparison with other flocculants, the result shows, the cactus flocculants can match in excellence with them to flocculate the result, vitriol its spend size to be heavy, fast to subside speed. And to make preliminary reasoning and analysis of flocculate mechanism, it shows that polarity composition of cactus plays an important role in the course of flocculating.In addition, this text has also done preliminary experiment research to its practical application, the experimental result shows: Cactus flocculant makes better result to pretreatment of wastewater from living, it is worthy of to reply with AICl₃ · 6H₂O especially, getting rid of CODcr rate can be up to 70%. The result of treatment to water of life can reach the standard of the drinking watertoo. Dealing with sea water with high turbid of degree demonstrate the fineresult.
