Because of the extensive application and high additional value of synthesis leather, its production scale is expanding quickly, resulting the serious environmental problems due to the waste gas emission during its production. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a new process to treat the waste gas.In this thesis, the Henry coefficients of DMF, butanone and toluene in DBP were measured. And the absorption performances of DMF, butanone and toluene in water and DBP and the absorption performances of butanone and toluene in DMF were measured as well. According to the experimental results and the stimulated results, the parameters of equipments were calculated and analyzed, and DMF was found to be a good solvent to absorb butanone and toluene in the waste gas.The isobaric vapor-liquid equilibrium data of butanone-N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) at 100.92 kPa, 93.32 kPa and 79.99 kPa and of toluene-DMF at 100.92 kPa were measured using a modified Rose still. Three activity equations (Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC) were used to correlate the data and the related parameters were obtained. Based on the above absorption and experiment data and a typical treatment process, a new process was proposed. Without introducing new volatile organic solvents, this new process could recover butanone, toluene and DMF in the waste gas simultaneously.A general economic assessment was given for the process in the end of this thesis.
