In order to reduce the harm of nitrogen tetroxide waste liquid to the environment and the surrounding population, this thesis designed an experimental methodology for investigating nitrogen tetroxide absorption efficiency from the perspective of chemical absorption and neutralization.A set of absorption efficiency experiments were completed, and the experimental data of absorption efficiency of various absorption solutions were analyzed and compared. It was found that urea solution could absorb nitrogen tetroxide at a higher rate in neutral environment, and the content of nitrite in the absorption products was very low.So urea solution was selected as the absorption solution. The treatment device of nitrogen tetroxide waste liquid which can be used indoors has been designed and completed. The practical application of chemical neutralization absorption of nitrogen tetroxide has been realized. The absorption rate of nitrogen tetroxide waste liquid can reach 0.674 L/h.The results show that the concentration of nitrogen dioxide in the waste gas is 8.4 mg/m~3,and the concentration of nitrite in the waste liquid is 0.7998 mg/L.Once the injection rate is increased, the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas exceed the standard,so an exhaust gas absorption device is installed for the device, which absorbs the nitrogen oxides with a mixture of foaming agent, absorbent and foaming agent solution.By screening the absorbent, foaming agent and foaming method, the combined liquid formula of the waste gas absorption system is determined.According to the actual application of the device, the experimental absorption condition is optimized, and the absorption rate of nitrogen tetroxide waste liquid has been increased to 0.968 L/h.
