Nuozhadu hydropower project in YunNan is located in the mid-downstream of Lancangjiang, which is the biggest hydropower station in storage capacity, installed capacity and energy output of one year. Water storage of reservoirs can bring comprehensive benefit of flood prevention, electricity generation, irrigation, shipping, water supply and fishery. Simultaneously the completion of reservoir will change hydrological situation and hydro-environ conditions in the reservoir area, further exerting an important effect upon ecology, farmland irrigation and living water use ect. For this reason, water quality prediction is an important part of environmental impact assessment before the construction of hydropower station. Therefore water quality analysis and forecast of reservoirs is the base of the environment assessment, plan, treat and management of reservoirs. The result of forecast will have vitally important significance.Aimed at the characters of Nuozhadu reservoir, a one-D dynamic organic matter model and water temperature model is built in this paper. On the basis of the natural river's organic mater data of the proposed Nuozadu reservoir, it is determined to the parameter estimation of water quality of the river by gradient searching method and the relation of the river and the proposed reservoir is set up by regressing the river's reaeration coefficient. Using the organic mater's changing law of the analogy reservoir the parameter estimation of water quality of the proposed reservoir can be ascertained.
