MCAI System Design Based On The Studying Of The Constructivism Theory And Numerical Machining Instruction

Combining the modern education theory with the teaching practice, this paperstudies the teaching model and teaching strategy of the course named NumericalControl Machining. On the basis of these studies, it develops the NC MachiningMCAI system. The main content and achievement of the paper are as follows: This paper makes a study of the Constructivism Theory and the NumericalControl Machining Instruction. Then, it probes and studies the integration ofinstruction of the course named NC Machining, makes a systematic explanationabout its essence and significance. This paper analyses collage students' cognition law and learning characteristics,approaches practically how to design and implement the Problem-Based Learninginstruction strategy in the students' learning process on the basis of the theory ofconstructivism. On the basis of these studies, this paper exploits the Numerical ControlMachining MCAI system. The system, which is a multimedia courseware,establishes NC Machining Situation, supports cooperation learning pattern, andconstructs the theory-teaching function, the practice-teaching function, the testfunction, and the information recourses and so on. All these instructionalinformation are presented by multimedia, such as text, picture, animation andsound. So the NC MCAI courseware provides teachers and learners with aconvenient, flexible, perceivable teaching-studying environment, constructs ateaching-studying platform for the integration of the NC Machining instructionand PBL instruction strategy.The NC Machining MCAI system, which has been tested, achieves good results.
