The paper introduces the design process of thread-trouble testing system formulti-sowing machines .It is an essential part in a set of automatic equipment which is for ahair-product factory to improve productivity.The system aims at inspecting the work condition of three-combined sewing machineand single machine for every produce unit. It comprises the host monitor which is in charge ofgenerating work information and sub-controller of each unit. The network of system is basedon RS485 protocol and sub-controllers are connected to the host. The network withdistribution structure makes the host can watch the sub-controllers and deliver instruction tothem.The paper introduces firstly the background and the objective of the research. Thefollowing chapters give the principle of sub-controllers and their realization of function inhardware, constructing of system network, and the software idea. Finally , the method usedfor improve the reliability is presented ,either. It is proved by experiments that the designedsystem meets with the requirements of produce.
