With the modern measurement and control technology and information management development, welding equipment intend to human-computer interaction facilitation and intelligent process control and improvement of the quality management information. In recent years, the researcher in order to get rid of the dependence on foreign and domestic companies aimed at international advanced level of welding technology, the digital, intelligent, flexibility and other high and new technology integration is applied to the traditional welding industry, carry out the study of intelligent control system of automatic welding.From the perspective of a big environment, the emergence of the digital welding machine is the inevitable. The digital welding control system development will on the new stage of manufacturing industry development. Digital welding control system contains more functionality, tend to be complicated system, a single CPU is difficult to implement multiple functions, function modular become inevitable.Firstly, this article have introduced the communication system of the automation welding power equipment, and the research content, and the necessity of communication protocol conversion in automated welding equipment. And research communication speed and reliability problems of the communication system.Secondly, the digital welding system should have digital operating system platform, the man-machine dialogue module and main control module, the extension module, as well as multiple management and control module. In this paper, the TCP/IP communication control module have been researched in detail, its main performance is to raise the speed of communication, and simplify the connection, and in the real-time communication position, the system refer to the clock problem.Research IEEE1588 protocol for the data transportation in real time problem, thus, a rapid real-time control of wire feeding, gas, water, yawing, up and down, and rotating movement.Again, this paper have researched network controller in detail. Between each control modules, between upper machine and the underlying module need to communication, the remote control also need to communication but the communication protocols are different between these communications, so it needs a transformation protocol converter. In this paper, we have researched the protocol converter in detail, and through the experiments demonstrated the reliability of the transformation performance, etc.This paper also studied the error checking problem in transmission, simple introduction of the necessity of error checking and method of error checking, error checking on the reliability of the transmission plays a very important role. Error checking methods mainly include parity check, calibration and etc. Compare to each calibration method has its advantages and disadvantages. CRC check error is very exact. And it is down the bit error rate, up the reliability and stability. So it’s very important to choose suitable for system calibration method.For anti-interference, the hardware and software design. Because of the bad welding machine working environment, coupled with the high frequency arc welding process of the high frequency interference, makes the control system cannot work normally, so the welding platform of anti-interference problem is discussed. In this paper, from two aspects of hardware and software anti-interference has adopted a series of effective measures to improve the anti-interference ability of the system.Finally, in this paper, the communication protocol used in automated welding equipment are discussed in this paper, the prospect of automatic welding equipment excellent performance, good reliability of various special complete automation welding equipment, welding robot workstation and welding production line, the market capacity is big, good development prospects.
