The long glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites were prepared by a new process, in which the reinforcing continuous fibers were impregnated by the suspension prepared by powdered resins and Polybutadiene latex grafted by acrylonitrile and styrene, and then the impregnated continuous fibers were dryed, melt, pultruted to form stick and cut to a desired length, named prepreg, finally the prepreg was made into sample through injection molding. The Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), tensile strength test, flexural strength test, impact strength test were used to investigate the wetting and interfacial adhesion, the mechanical properties of composites. The results show that the properties of the GF/ABS composite by this new processing are better than the Melt Impregnation processing. The effect of LGF/ABS composites properties by fiber content was studied. It showed those mechanical properties and vicar point of LGF/ABS composite was improved with the increase of glass fiber content.The long glass fiber reinforced ABS/PVC composite was produced by suspension impregnation. The mechanical properties of long glass fibre reinforced ABS/PVC composite was studied. The results show thatthe mechanical properties can be greatly improved by long glass fibre reinforcement, and the suspension impregnation process is suitable for producing long glass fibre reinforced ABS/PVC composite. The Tg (glass transition temperature) of injection molding sample was analyzed by DSC test. The result showed the Tgs of ABS and PVC were influnced each other, which was in deep dependence on the segment compatibility. The FTIR results showed the composite was the long glass fiber reinforced ABS/PVC composite.The mechanical properties of composites could be adjusted by controlling the content of glass fiber, the diameter of the mold, and the length of the glass fiber, which are attributed to the good wetting of reinforcing fibers with suspension as the impregnation fluid. The testing results showed that the interface of resin and the reinforcing fibers surface was improved with the presentation of the KH550.
