All are well known that now Zhongyun oil field has entered the mature waterinjection development period and the water cut of some old reservoirs such asPucheng sand I and up sand II has reached 95%. For this type of reservoir, polymerflooding is a preferable technique and is paid more and more attention by petroleumengineers. Since the seventh-five-year planning, magnitude of studies on polymerflooding have been carried out and breakthroughs have been accomplished.The numerical simulation technology is essential to field development andprovides theory for a variety of measures for development, which studiestheoretically the laws and mechanism of the complex seepage flow in porous mediaand is an effective technique to design development scheme, monitor performance,adjust development program. Not only can the level of development be improved,but also economic result can be attained by numerical simulation technique. Becausepolymer flooding is a development method which has more investment and morerisk, it is necessary to use the numerical simulation to design, optimize, evaluatedevelopment program.On the basis of systemically studying the geology structure, the distribution ofreservoir bed, the property of fluid, phase permeability and reservoir engineeringand so on, in this paper the static and performance models of pu-12 block are build,and the property of the geology and the distribution of the residual oil are recognized,the factors which have effects on the displacing result are analyzed, which includethe relationship between viscosity and concentration, shear degradation, saltsensitivity, adsorption, resistance factor, permeability reduction, inaccessible porevolume and effective salinity and so on. Based on above studies, this paper designs,screens, optimizes the polymer flooding program for pu-12 block and has a greatguide significance for polymer flooding in field application.
