The fine blanking technology is one of excellent metal plate steel tooling technology, the fine blanking craft can be able to acquire the quality equal to the quality of grinding. The tolerance of dimension is IT8-IT7. The rough degree of shear plane is Ra0.18um~Ra0.14um. The product can be used to assemble directly. Among the fine blanking processes, the nonlinear deform mainly concentrate in the place which is limited by mould cleft and the deformation is sharp. So the numerical simulation to fine blanking process developed slowly. For a long time, the parameters of fine blanking are aquired from craft experiment. Because of the limit of tradition methods, the fine blanking craft and mold optimum structure developed slowly.Numerical simulation of the fine blanking process for steel which contains elastoplastic large deformation is conducted with the software DEFORM. The Cockroft tock ductile fracture criterion isused topre dictductile fracture in the fine blanking process. The distribution and developing trend of the hydrostatic stress, equivalent stress and equivalent strain in the course of deformation of the material, and the emergence, development and final fracture of the fine cracks in the final fine blanking process are predicted.In this paper, structure and components design methods of fine blanking mould are analyzed as well as the mould motion characteristic. Modeling and simulation methods based on Deform are introduced following. By establishing assembly models of fine blanking moulds with different moving types and proceeding the motion simulation of fine blanking processes based on Deform, equivalent stress and equivalent strain. According to numerical simulation, the mould structures are corrected. The practice of motion simulation is pleased and achieves the desired results. The results show that, through the motion simulation, design errors can be discovered early, design efficiency enhanced and design cost reduced effectively.Because research time and the theory technical level are limited, the research on motion simulation of fine blanking mould is quite superficial. Correlative work should be deepened, and the simulation technology waits for further improvement and consummation.
