Sheet forming is one of the important branchs of material processing. Asindustry and economy developing, the shape and dimension precision of sheetmetal part must need higher demand. As a important means of control sheetforming, drawbead is focused on by more and more scholars and manufactures.At present, the research on drawbead has obtained some progress, but the studyof forming mechnics of drawbead needed to be improved, and the study on itseffection on subsequent forming of sheet metal is deficient.In this paper, author design normal drawbead experimental fixture,no-friction drawbead experimental fixture and hydraulic control system. developexperimental measure system based on LabVIEW. The research on the formingprocess of sheet metal throught drawbead is carried out. The change ofmechanical parameters is analysed. Based on plentiful experiments, the papergeneralized the relation between the mechanical parameters(drawbeadrestraining force, forming drawbead force and holding binder force) and thegeometrical parameters(height, radius and so on) of semicircle drawbead,rectangle drawbead, double drawbead and no-friction drawbead. Then, theeffection of friction restraining force for drawbead is researched with no-frictiondrawbead fixture.Based on the work above, the thickness reduction and the relation betweenthe thickness reduction and the geometrical parameters of drawbead areresearched systematily. Give a mass of foundational datas for the design andadjustment of drawbead.
