The sheet metal forming is a very important metal plastic forming technique and it has widely applied in related industrial field, such as aviation, automobile, appliance, and packaging. The effects of the drawbeads were so important that many engineers had been pained attention to them and studied in them. If engineers can dispose drawbeads right and properly in sheet metal forming processes, then they can not only enhance the quality of manufacure and also prolong lives of dies. Thus, drawbeads play a very key and important role in the sheet metal forming.Based on refer to a great deal of technical information at home and abroad, The text adopt data collection and arrangment, numerical simulation and physical test methods to study drawbead using in sheet metal forming, Specific tasks are as follows:1) Gathering and sorting out of information about the basic theory and status of drawbead;2) By analytical software—dyanform, simulate the deep drawing process of no-flange- cylindrical part, and analyze the transform relationship between true drawbead and equivalent–drawbead. Then, using analytical software—dyanform, simulate the deep drawing process of rectangular box and spherical parts, and verify the above-mentioned simulation to analysis conclusion;3) Making use of dynaform, the deep drawing process of rectangular box with the variable drawbead depth was simulated to obtain the best moving curve on the change of drawbead deep;4) According to the simulation of rectangular box with the variable drawbead depth, design a pair of die with variable drawbead depth to carry on a physical experiment. Then, analyze the limit drawing deep and thickness and compare the result with that of simulation.This study may make up the lack of drawbead research on the transform relation between true drawbead and equivalent drawbead and the variable resistance of drawbead. It can increase the veracity and reliability of drawbead numerical simulation, and empolder and generalize the widely application of the variable resistance of drawbead in the automobile and machine.The study provided a basis and new way for the mould design in sheet metal forming process. It was important significance to improve the practicality of finite element analysis, shorten the design and manufacturing period, reduce the cost and improve the forming quality of workpiece. The research result can be the engineering and technical personnel's designning reference.
