Research On High-Speed Wire Pipe Of Laying Head And Working Quality Improvement

Since 80's in last century, our country imported many high-speed wirerolling mills product lines from abroad continuously. But the foreign companydid not provide the most core technique for designing and manufacturing layinghead—the pipe's space curve of the laying head. The laying heads have badworking quality and reduction the pipes' service life, and it have direct relationwith the pipe's space curve. Because of the wire produces factory in Chinadidn't have the information of the pipe's space curve of laying head, when thedesigning curve of pipe is doubted of some problems, technician can only makereformation in a experiment way, it is not only wasting time but also hard to findout the reasons of the existence problems. Therefore, how to get the equation ofthe laying head pipe and analysis the curvature, speed and stress is the key toresolves those problems.The article analyzed the wire's speed and stress at the moment of layinghead is working, given the computing methods of each component speed andstress. Using of the precision measurement equipment—three coordinatesmeasuring machine to get the pipe's space curve of laying head in high speedwire rod of Tangsteel, choosing the method of mathematics regression to get theequation of the laying head pipe. From the aspects of curvature,speed and stressvariety along the pipe, analysis and find out the reasons of the laying head's badworking quality in Tangsteel. The boundary conditions are satisfed at the instantof the wire in the pipe and at the entrance and exit, built up the equation of thelaying head pipe in cylindrical coordinate.Optimumly designed a pipe equationto match the job condition. Aiming the problems of laying head of tangsteel,carried on analysing and researching and carried out the laying head renovation,finally getted obvious result.Selecting research on the pipe of high speed wire laying head as researchtask, not only has the research important significant for design and developmentlaying head, but also has practical sense and applying value for high speed wirefactory technology reform and innovation, it has certain engineering guidesignificance.
