With the rapid development of science and technology,people's demand for materials is getting higher and higher.The traditional metal materials begin to show their shortcomings in comprehensive performance.The rapid development of the national economy and the enhancement ofnational strength have increased the demand for high performance components.Inthis context,composite materials emerge as the times require for their unique advantages.However,it is difficult and expensive to manufacture large components with complex contour,which makes the application of carbon fiber composite materials a difficult problem.Although filament winding machines and automatic tape laying machines promote the popularization and use of composite products to some extent,they are somewhat weak in the manufacture of composite components with complex surface profiles.The automatic wire laying machine developed on the basis of those two methods can solve this problem better.At present,the technology of automatic wire laying machine is mainly grasped by European and American countries.Our research on this aspect started late,and now is vigorously catching up.Therefore,this paper starts with the mechanism and the whole structure of wire laying machine,and designs a prototype of a carbon fiber automatic wire laying machine.Its structure and function basically meet the requirements of wire laying machine.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Structure design of wire laying head:(1)Wire retransmission mechanism:By using double roller,the movement of the fiber bundle inside the wire head is drawn through the extrusion and friction of the roller.(2)Shear clamping mechanism:The cylinder drives the cutter to slide in the chute.When cutting the fiber bundle,the clamping block of its tail can also tighten the fiber bundle on the cutter pad.(3)Pressure mechanism:Double cylinder connect with the guiding element,whichpushes the pressing wheel to spread the wire on the core surface.(4)The design of other auxiliary mechanism,such as heating mechanism,guide slot,etc.(5)Design of internal structure of wire laying head:Arrange the layout of each organization reasonably.The multi beam fiber is divided into two paths,which are controlled respectively,so as to achieve the function requirements of the wire laying head.2.Design of motion executive mechanism:It is mainly about the design of gantry structure and the selection and calculation of guideways and screws.3.Finite element analysis of key components of wire laying machine:The finite element analysis of the key parts was carried out by using ANSYS to examine deformation and stress distribution of it.And some suggestions are put forward to improve the structure according to this.4.Motion simulation of automatic wire laying machine:The movement of the automatic wire laying machine is simulated by SolidWorks to acquaintance the movement process of the wire laying machine.5.The stacking design of automatic wire laying machine:Firstly,the composite members are divided into three structural levels: single layer,laminated plate and product structure;Then,the mechanical properties of laminated plates are analyzed from the point of view of material mechanics;At last,the design method and principle of common ply design are put forward,which lays a foundation for the subsequent lay design research.
