The development of platinum anticancer grugs since 1965 and the development of analyse plant incretion by HPLC were reviewed in this paper. The kinetics and mechanism of oxidation of L- cysteine and L- cysteine hydrochloride by Na2PtCl6 has been studied in aqueous medium by convertional spectrophotometry. In the temperature range of 25 - 32 °C , through analyzing influences of [H+] and [L- cysteine]tot on the reaction, it is pseudo-first-order in Pt(IV) disappearance with an rate expression: Activationparameters associated with kobsd has also been derived. A reaction mechanism is proposed to involve one pre-equilibria.First we select a Pt(IV) model drugs Na2PtCl6 to oxidate L- cysteine and L- cysteine hydrochloride, and study the kinetics of the reaction.
